My cinema4D 3D modelling
Seeing as this was my first time using Cinema4D I needed to start simple before I went onto more complex work. I started of by making some 3D text, adding a light source and putting a flooring down.
I then went onto making something a bit more complex. Basic shapes, I did this by using the object tool. After making the shapes I placed them and then added a material (colour) to them. After doing that I added a light source to them and added shadow's. After doing that I finished the picture off by adding a slight reflection to the shapes.
Once I finished making my shapes I had released it was time for something a bit more complex using the techniques I previously learnt. I went on to making two ipods and adding a text in the background.
The only new technique I needed to make this was the Load image tool which I used to add the screens and jog wheel's.
The next week we were given the task to create a fictional space ship using Cinema 4D. I created my ship by using a few different tools. I created a cube first of all using the object tool. I then made it the right size and made it editable. After doing that I could then use the polygon tool combined with the extrude and extrude inner tool to create the wings, cockpit, engine's and tail. Once I had finished creating the base shape of the plane in cube form I had to make it rounded. I did this by adding HyperNURBS to the ship. Once I had finished making the ship I made an enviroment, I did this by making a new material, adding a cloud texture to it, Changing the colour to gray and then finaly applying it a sky box. After I had made the enviroment I made a material for the ship, this was quite simple all I did was get two colours combind them and add a few simple effects to them.
