Ball

After Finishing my ship I went home and started experimenting with some different C4D tools and effects I decided to create a ball using the stuff I learnt.

I started off by dropping a sphere into my scene. I then went to the attributes manager and selected hemisphere and changed the segment's to 100. I then made the sphere editable by pressing C.
I then used the selection tool to select the parts of the polygon I wished. I then deleted the selected parts.
After doing that I used the extrude tool to give the object some depth. I then duplicated the sphere and rotated it by 180 degrees to create a full circle. once I had my full sphere with the gapes I had previously made I put another sphere inside of the first one. After doing that it was time to put colours and effects to it. I made a new material, added a glow and colour to it and dragged it onto the inner sphere to create the inner glow effect. I then did the same to the outer sphere but didn't add a glow and made the colour darker. My final outcome is shown below followed by the same sphere duplicated, rotated and colours changed.
